Few years ago, I had to take permission from hubby and the children to go spend time alone. I was burning out and I knew it. As much as I tried, I realized that loving hubby, the children and work was burning me out. This timeout opened my eyes to understand that ‘love is a person!’.

I remember getting to my room and sleeping for close to 20hours straight, then I woke up and began to pray. Those few days opened my eyes to my inability to love right, consistently and reintroduced me to Love Himself.

For this is how God loved the world: He gave His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16 NLT).

As I meditated more and more, it dawned on me that this was what I was missing. Take a look at 1Corinthians 13:1-8.

If you look at the scripture closely, you will see the impossible task and characteristics of love. But when we allow God into our lives and partner with His Son Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit begins to guide us daily and we begin to inhabit and exhibit the characteristics which is found in Jesus Christ.

So beloved, are you struggling with loving your spouse?
Are you burning out from giving of yourself to others?
Are you in need of love yourself?

Look no further! Jesus is love Himself and He is looking for ways to shower you with love daily, to the extent that you can love others without burning out.
