Yearly, hubby and I usually go for a vision retreat. Where we pray through for the next year/session. During our last vision retreat, I heard clearly in the Spirit – LESS IS MORE daughter!
Less is more, Lord, what does this mean? The Holy Spirit began to break it down for me and the lessons learnt is what I want to share with you:
- Less is more is simply prioritizing and choosing what is necessary for the journey against what the world expects from us.
- Being busy does not necessarily mean productiveness. Be intentional about where you invest your time. The busiest people are not necessarily rich; but constructive time management is crucial in breaking free from the rat race.
- Decide and write down what should be less in your life and what should be more in your life.
The Holy Spirit is teaching me to do less activity and more prayers, intercession and spending time with Him.
Just like today’s scripture talks about king Ahab drinking and eating while Elijah stayed in the place of prayer till the finger of God came. His ability to stay in God’s presence gave him the grace/stamina to outrun the chariots/horses that carried king Ahab.
So dear friend, this is not a year to be all about and everywhere. It is a year of choosing what is necessary and sticking to it till it delivers! Less activity, more intentionality.
