I realized that we failed several times this weekend! Yes, we had made a promise to exercise every Saturday as a family but for two weeks now we have not been able to keep our promise.
As I pondered on this, a scripture came to my mind – “the righteous falleth seven times yet rises up again!” Then I realized, though we had failed to achieve or keep our promises; the attitude for victory is to apologize, discuss it and of course try again.
Many of us assume that successful people do not make mistakes. Wrong, they do much more than we can imagine, the only difference is they get up and try again.
Have you failed in business? Having marital issues? The IVF failed again? The adoption process did not go as planned? Your job interview failed?
What are you struggling with? Get up! Arise! Remember that the diamond is not cut by the first stroke nor by the 100th stroke. All the strokes played a part in the cutting of the diamond.
… Trouble might happen 7 times to honest people and they may make mistakes. But in the end, all will be well… (Proverbs 24:16a).
