The KMAI Abuja maiden Couples Hangout event, which was held on the 30th of September, was indeed an eye opener for couples
It was a time of relaxation and to unwind for many couples. But most importantly, it was a time to evaluate the habits that create the thin line between Love and Hate. Many couples were able to understand the state of their marriages and how to take it from where it is to where it should be.
The highlight of the event was the men versus women’s conversation. This opened the door to intimate conversations of the common issues in marriage and the way forward without anyone feeling judged. Questions were answered with practical solutions that brought great insights into every marriage that was present.
Another part of it was the games. The building game, the getting-to-know-you game, and of course, we played our very own, The Alive Game (an international standard, couple’s board game that was created by Keeping Marriage Alive Initiative founders and their team to create an impact).
Of course, you can’t leave out refreshments. The refreshments were top notch; enabling people to eat and bond while enjoying the program.
We say a very big thank you to our Abuja team. Maxwell Okeke, Favour Oba-Ikhide, Gbemisola Olatayo, Eric Igoche, Erika Ighoghoe, Deborah Evbotokhai, and the media personnel, Godswill Enwereji. This event would not have been a success without the hard work put in by these amazing individuals.
The couples were asking for this to be done frequently, and we promised to do just that; but while waiting for the next session, we would share some pictures for those who missed this great event.
Thank you to the founders, Ngee and Rich, for initiating this Couples Hangout in order for couples to keep their marriages alive in every state of Nigeria and, of course, internationally.
We want to know if you want us to visit your state/country, or if you want to partner with Keeping Marriage Alive Initiative.
